Go Won Hee Reinvents Herself Through Dramatic Makeover On "Perfume"

Go Won Hee will be making a glamorous transformation on the next episode of “Perfume”!

On June 8, the new KBS 2TV fantasy romance drama unveiled a sneak peek of Go Won Hee’s updated look from its upcoming episode. The newly released stills show her character Min Ye Rin looking young and beautiful as she cuts her own hair and sheds her frizzy look for a sleeker, more youthful style.

Despite being aware of the fact that she will face death if she uses up all of the magical perfume responsible for her physical transformation, Min Ye Rin has been through so much pain and suffering in her life that she is now recklessly unafraid to pursue her dreams.

As she embarks on the second chapter of her life, Min Ye Rin is more determined than ever to fulfill her unrealized dream of becoming a successful model—and the new photos show the character posing for a pictorial in an elegant dress and passionately singing her heart out in a recording studio as she jumps headfirst into her new career.

In order to convincingly portray Min Ye Rin’s evolution into a model, Go Won Hee took the time to personally visit a modeling agency and learn how to pose and walk the runway. She also reportedly impressed the drama’s production crew with how different she looked after getting rid of the heavy wig and shabby clothing she had sported for the drama’s first few episodes.

The producers of “Perfume” commented, “Go Won Hee is an actress who is unafraid of transformations and challenges. She doesn’t hesitate to sacrifice her appearance for the sake of comedy, and she is adding so much to the drama through her performance.”

They went on, “Please look forward to Go Won Hee’s detailed portrayal of Min Ye Rin, who has received a miraculous second chance at life and is single-mindedly racing towards her dreams even though she may be faced with the cruel destiny of limited time.”

The next episode of “Perfume” will air on June 10 at 10 p.m. KST.
