Jin Seon Kyu And Yoo Hae Jin Confirmed To Join Song Joong Ki And Kim Tae Ri In New Sci-Fi Film

More actors have been confirmed for “A Werewolf Boy” director Jo Sung Hee’s upcoming film!

On June 10, it was announced that Jin Seon Kyu and Yoo Hae Jin have joined Song Joong Ki and Kim Tae Ri in “Lightning Ship” (tentative title).

A source from the film said, “For the first time in Korean movie history, [‘Lightning Ship’] will be a sci-fi blockbuster that will show a story and graphics that were never seen before against the backdrop of an endless space.”

Song Joong Ki will appear as a problematic pilot named Tae Ho who’s always poor despite doing anything he can for money. This is the actor’s first film in two years since “The Battleship Island.” Kim Tae Ri will portray Sun Jang (meaning “captain” in Korean) who leads Lightning Ship with her fierce spirit. The actress has starred in successful works including “The Handmaiden,” “1987,” “Little Forest,” and tvN drama “Mr. Sunshine.”

The sweet and savage housekeeper Tiger Park will be played by Jin Seon Kyu, who has recently enjoyed box office success with “The Outlaws” and “Extreme Job.” Yoo Hae Jin has been confirmed as the voice actor who will work with Korea’s first attempt at motion capture robotics. The actor’s filmography includes films such as “Luck-Key,” “Confidential Assignment,” “A Taxi Driver,” “1987,” and “Malmoe: The Secret Mission.”

“Lightning Ship” is a 10-year creation of director Jo Sung Hee that will begin filming in July.
