Brand New Music Asks Fans To Respect 'Produce X 101' Trainees' Privacy

Brand New Music has released a statement asking fans to be mindful of the privacy of their trainees appearing on “Produce X 101.”

On June 10, the agency posted on their official Twitter page addressing recent incidents of infringement on the trainees’ privacy, as well as their policy on fan gifts. Below is the full statement:

Hello, this is Brand New Music’s New Talent Development Team.

Firstly, we would like to thank the fans for supporting Kim Si Hun, Yun Jung Hwan, Lee Eun Sang, and Hong Seong Jun, who are currently appearing on ‘Produce X 101.’ For the sake of the trainees, however, there is a matter we must inform you all of.

Recently, the trainees have been experiencing discomfort due to those who seek them out at places like the Brand New Music building and dorm outside of official schedules. In light of the trainees’ safety and privacy, please refrain from such actions.

We respectfully decline any fan letters or presents sent to the trainees and will return any gifts sent through the post or through delivery. We ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Once again, we sincerely thank all the fans for supporting the Brand New Music trainees, and we will do our best to repay that support. Please continue to give our trainees your interest.

Thank you.

“Produce X 101” airs every Friday at 11 p.m. KST on Mnet. Show your support for your favorites by voting in Soompi’s international prediction polls here.
