"A" From B.I’s Chat About Illegal Drug Purchase Reported To Be Han Seo Hee

On June 13, MBC’s “Newsdesk” shared a recording of their phone call with “A,” who is referred to as “former YG trainee Han.” In the call, she confirmed that Yang Hyun Suk intervened in the process of her changing her testimony.

The MBC reporter asked her if she had accepted the appointment of a lawyer for her by YG, and if Yang Hyun Suk had told her to change her testimony. She replied, “Ah, I’ll say another time. But it’s exactly what you think. Isn’t it?” When the reporter responded that they understand, she replied, “Ask… there’s no need to say. You honestly know.”

MBC reported that while she acknowledged the intervention by YG, she was also concerned about being reprimanded by Yang Hyun Suk. “What the article says it’s true,” she stated. “I’m going to be scolded by [Yang Hyun Suk]. I really can’t say anything… I’m going to change my phone number.”

YG Entertainment has confirmed that they met with her, but said that was only to request that she correct her testimony. They stated that B.I had not tested positive for drugs, and that she mentioned B.I to mitigate her own crimes, so they requested the correction.

The identity of “A” who chatted with B.I in the alleged drug purchase messages has been revealed to reportedly be former trainee Han Seo Hee.

According to news outlet Edaily and their investigation, “A” is Han Seo Hee. Han Seo Hee was previously involved in T.O.P‘s marijuana case. She was previously indicted for smoking marijuana with T.O.P twice in October 2016. She also was accused of purchasing LSD on two separate occasions.

Han Seo Hee was sentenced to four years of probation with the possibility of a three-year prison sentence if she commits a repeat offense during her probation period. The Seoul Central District Court also ordered 120 hours of drug rehab.

Han Seo Hee was arrested in August 2016 and the police found the messages between her and B.I through her cell phone. When the police questioned her regarding the delivery of LSD to B.I, Han Seo Hee said that she delivered it on May 3, 2016 in front of iKON’s dormitory. However, she later changed her testimony during the third round of questioning and said that while B.I had requested the drugs, she had not gotten them for him.

After the chat messages were revealed, B.I apologized and announced his plans to leave iKON. YG Entertainment later confirmed that B.I left the group and terminated his exclusive contract with the agency.

Following the reports about Han Seo Hee, a police source commented, “The media revealed the reported identity of the individual who chatted with B.I. We cannot reveal who ‘A’ is.”
