Prosecution Requests Prison Sentence And Fine For Park Yoochun

On June 14 at 2 p.m. KST, the first hearing for Park Yoochun on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act took place at Suwon District Court.

Park Yoochun was under suspicions of injecting Philopon (a form of methamphetamine) on six occasions between September and October 2018 with his former girlfriend Hwang Ha Na at her home in Yongsan. Park Yoochun was also arrested on April 26, 2019 for suspicions of purchasing 1.5 grams of Philopon with Hwang Ha Na on three occasions between February and March 2019.

During the first hearing, Park Yoochun admitted to all charges that were made against him and said that he is deeply reflecting on his actions. The prosecutors requested a year and six months in prison and 1.4 million won (approximately $1,182) in fines for Park Yoochun.
