Song Joong Ki, Jang Dong Gun, And Kim Ok Bin Make Up Their Minds In 'Arthdal Chronicles' Teasers

As the epic fantasy drama “Arthdal Chronicles” moves into its third week, tvN released stills of the characters looking more determined than ever.

Stills from the upcoming June 15 episode show Song Joong Ki preparing to rescue Kim Ji Won and the other members of the Wahan tribe.

Spoilers

In the June 9 episode, Eun Seom (Song Joong Ki) kidnapped the leader of the Arthdal Union, Sanung Niruha (Kim Eui Sung), in order to barter for the lives of the Wahan tribe. In doing so, however, he ended up in the middle of a political dispute between Sanung and his son, Ta Gon (Jang Dong Gun). Ta Gon headed to Eun Seom’s tower to negotiate for his father’s life, and the episode ended with the two drawing knives and running full tilt at each other.

In the new stills, Song Joong Ki has erased his war paint from the last episode but looks more serious than ever as he prepares for the next step in his plan to rescue his tribe members.

The production staff stated, “This is an important scene in which Eun Seom transforms into a warrior of Wahan, after making plans to rescue his tribe members. Please look forward to seeing what hidden cards Eun Seom, a stranger to Arthdal, has up his sleeves to bring down the power of the Arthdal Union.”

tvN also released stills of Jang Dong Gun looking downcast and Kim Ok Bin trying to comfort him. Kim Ok Bin plays Taealha, the daughter of an ambitious tribe leader who wants to marry her off to Sanung Niruha. Taealha, however, has fallen in love with Ta Gon, and eventually chose to help him instead of obey her father.

The stills show a clandestine meeting between the two of them, who are not supposed to meet. During their last meeting, the two fought over the lies that they have been telling each other until now, but it now appears that they have decided to confront their feelings head-on.

The production staff stated, “This is an important scene in which Ta Gon and Taealha realize that they are of one heart, and their emotions overflow. Please stay tuned to see the fate of their relationship in the kaleidoscope of life that is Arthdal.”

“Arthdal Chronicles” airs on tvN every Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. KST. It also airs simultaneously on Netflix.
