JYP Partners With Make-A-Wish To Begin Campaigns Supporting Children With Illnesses
JYP Entertainment has signed an MOU (memorandum of understanding) with Make-A-Wish Foundation to carry out their corporate social responsibility.
On June 17 at 2 p.m. KST, JYP and Make-A-Wish Korea signed an MOU at JYP Center in Kangdong District, Seoul.
With the catchphrase “EDM (Every Dreams Matters!),” JYP will begin their main CSR campaign that grants the wishes of children who suffer from critical illnesses. In the future, the campaign will take various forms like sponsoring an “EDM Wish Kid,” operating university student volunteer corps called “EDM Wish Angel,” carrying out donation campaigns with fans, and more.
Explaining the meaning behind this partnership, JYP shared, “The entertainment industry is an industry that creates dreams. We hope that helping sick children fulfill their dreams will create a miracle that cures them of their illnesses. Moving forward, JYP will actively carry out CSR projects to create a world where anyone including artists, staff, and fans can dream as big as they want.”
At the end of June, Park Jin Young will personally attend an event to grant the wishes of sick children.
Meanwhile, GOT7 is currently carrying out a campaign with Make-A-Wish called “Keep Spinning, Keep Dreaming with GOT7” where they fulfill the wishes of children with critical illnesses who wish to attend their concerts or meet the group.
