BTS, TWICE, IZ*ONE, SEVENTEEN, And More Earn Spots On Oricon's Charts For First Half Of 2019
Oricon has released its chart results for the first half of 2019!
On June 20, the Japanese company published the sales rankings for singles and albums between December 10, 2018 and June 9, 2019.
SEVENTEEN placed No. 10 in the singles chart with “Happy Ending,” which sold 264,429 copies. IZ*ONE’s Japanese debut single “Suki to Iwasetai” ranked No. 12, selling 242,073 copies.
MONSTA X’s “Shoot Out” also made the list at No. 31, with 88,157 copies sold.
BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” achieved No. 3 on the albums chart with 314,958 copies.
TWICE took No. 4 on the albums chart with “#TWICE2” selling 298,599 copies, and the group’s Korean album “Fancy You” ranked No. 19. The group’s albums “YES or YES” and “BDZ” also took No. 27 and No. 32, respectively.
SEVENTEEN’s “You Made My Dawn” came in at No. 11 with 169,703 copies sold, and Wanna One ranked No. 25 with their album “1^11=1(POWER OF DESTINY).” GOT7 took No. 38 with “I Won’t Let You Go,” and NCT 127’s “Awaken” placed No. 41.
The only Korean artist to make the digital albums chart was BTS, who took No. 19 with “Map of the Soul: Persona.”
TWICE was also the only Korean artist to rank on the streamings chart with “YES or YES” placing No. 13.
SEVENTEEN and IZ*ONE took No. 13 and No. 14 on the combined singles chart for “Happy Ending” and “Suki to Iwasetai,” respectively.
The combined albums chart saw BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” at No. 4, TWICE’s “#TWICE2” at No. 7, SEVENTEEN’s “You Made My Dawn” at No. 12, and TWICE’s “Fancy You” at No. 19.
TWICE came in at No. 4 on the artist total sales chart, followed by BTS at No. 10.
IZ*ONE topped the rookie artist total sales chart and was joined by ASTRO at No. 3.
