Chungha Talks About The Support She Gets From I.O.I + Addresses Rumors Of Reunion

On June 24, Chungha held a showcase to promote her new mini album “Flourishing.”

During the showcase, Chungha was asked about her manager, who recently appeared on MBC’s “The Manager” with her. Chungha said, “I’ve been friends with my dancers for about 10 years. They told me that they really liked my new song when they heard it. It was fun to come up with the choreography together. The dancers told me, ‘We like all the songs you’ve promoted until now, but this is our favorite.'”

She added, “[My manager] was worried about me and said, ‘Isn’t the pitch too high? What if you damage your throat?’ I worked hard to prepare with other members of my staff.”

Chungha then shared that the I.O.I members also sent her their support. “Whenever the teaser is released early in the morning, I get messages like, ‘You’re so pretty’ and ‘This is crazy.’ Doyeon told me that she wanted to make a cover to my new song.”

She addressed the recent rumors that I.O.I would be reuniting and said, “The members of I.O.I are friends who are indispensable to the person that I am today. I haven’t heard anything specific, but I strongly feel that if the opportunity arises, I would want to do it immediately. If the opportunity arises to greet you as an I.O.I member again, please look upon us favorably.”

Chungha released “Flourishing” and title track “Snapping” on June 24 at 6 p.m. KST.
