Watch: Ji Jin Hee Is Forced To Step Up As Acting President In Teaser For "Designated Survivor: 60 Days"
The first teaser has been released for tvN’s “Designated Survivor: 60 Days.”
A remake of the popular U.S. series “Designated Survivor,” this upcoming tvN drama will tell the story of the head of the Ministry of Environment Park Moo Jin (played by Ji Jin Hee) who unexpectedly leads the country for 60 days after a terror attack kills the president and others in the line of succession during the State of the Union Address.
The teaser begins with an aerial shot of the National Assembly building. As the clock ticks down and an explosion occurs, a voice says, “Who could’ve imagined that a tragedy like this would happen today?”
As others watch the billowing smoke from a far, Ji Jin Hee asks, “Isn’t it the proper duty of the nation to protect the lives of its citizens?” He watches as the National Assembly building crumbles in front of him and Heo Jun Ho says, “Power doesn’t allow a gap.”
Ji Jin Hee unexpectedly finds himself in the operation room of the Blue House as everyone waits on his word as the new acting president. He asks what would happen if he was to step down and his staff looks at him with startled facial expressions. He’s completely unprepared for the various complications he faces in his new position as the country falls into unrest.
With a trustworthy secretary and team, he begins to get a better understanding and forms his own strategy for the job. He said, “We survived by accident and are here today,” and addresses the nation as the acting president.
