"Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung" Shares A Look At ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo's Royal Family

MBC’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama, “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung,” has released stills of the royal family.

“Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” stars Shin Se Kyung as an aspiring palace historian who dreams of a society where everyone is equal, and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo as a lonely prince who leads a secret life as a popular romance novelist.

The new teaser photos show Cha Eun Woo’s character, Lee Rim, in the midst of his royal family. Park Ki Woong plays Lee Jin, Lee Rim’s brother and the crown prince. He is loyal to his people but faces a tremendous amount of pressure from his father.

While Lee Jin is fond of his brother, Lee Rim is ostracized by the king, Lee Tae (played by Kim Min Sang). Lee Tae believes that Lee Rim is a ticking time bomb who has the potential to destroy the peace of the royal family.

Kim Yeo Jin rounds out the family in the role of the queen, also known as Lady Yim, who provides a balance to the angry king with her gentle and natural smile.

“Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” will premiere on July 17 at 8:55 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser here!
