BTS's "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" Named May's Top-Grossing Tour
BTS takes the highest spot on Billboard Boxscore’s Top Tours chart for May!
The group grabs No. 1 on the monthly chart after eight concerts in New Jersey, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Sao Paolo that month for their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour. According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, BTS grossed $51.7 million through these shows and sold 384,498 tickets. They are followed on the Top 5 of the chart by artists Metallica, P!nk, Spice Girls, and Ariana Grande.
This also means that BTS has earned the highest one-month total for 2019 so far.
Billboard reports that BTS’s six stadium shows in the United States in May came to a total earnings of $44 million with almost 300,000 tickets sold.
As previously announced, their two shows at the Rose Bowl in California earned $16.6 million, with 113,040 tickets sold. It is the single highest-grossing engagement in the venue’s Boxscore history.
BTS went on to gross $7.7 million with 84,812 tickets from their two shows in Sao Paolo, Brazil at the Allianz Parque on May 25 and 26.
On the Top Boxscores chart, the group’s four stadium engagements take No. 1 (Rose Bowl Stadium, May 4-5), 2 (MetLife Stadium, May 18-19), 4 (Soldier Field, May 11-12), and 9 (Allianz Parque, May 25-26).
It was previously shared by Billboard that including their London and Paris concerts in June, BTS’s “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour has grossed $78.9 million with 606,409 tickets sold so far.
