MBC’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” has released new posters of the leading pair Shin Se Kyung and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo.
“Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” will begin with the interesting premise, “What if there was a female historian in the Joseon dynasty?” Not only will his be the first Korean drama to have a historian from the era at the forefront, but they have added a fun twist of making that historian a woman. Goo Hae Ryung (played by Shin Se Kyung) has studied overseas and at the age of 26, passes the exam and begins her journey to becoming a true historian.
A beautiful romance will bloom between Goo Hae Ryung, an aspiring palace historian who dreams of a society where everything is equal, and Lee Rim (played by Cha Eun Woo), a lonely prince who leads a double life as a romance novelist. Lee Rim was trapped in the palace and being treated like a ticking time bomb when he meets Goo Hae Ryung and learns to experience the world more fully.
The new posters show the two close together as they travel around. First, they sit in a palanquin, Lee Rim looking out and Goo Hae Ryung holding her notes with her. The tagline reads, “A privacy invasion one-room romance between a prince and a historian!” IN the second poster, the two are sitting by a refreshing river and the tagline reads, “Your Highness, is that woman really just a historian to you?”
