Channel A Reports Details Of Song Joong Ki And Song Hye Kyo's Divorce

On June 28, Channel A released a news report on the details of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s divorce.

According to Channel A, Song Joong Ki filed for divorce without notifying Song Hye Kyo.

The report stated that Song Joong Ki submitted the divorce settlement to the Seoul Family Court on June 26 and informed Song Hye Kyo of the matter through a public press release delivered by his legal representative on June 27.

Song Joong Ki reportedly chose to file for divorce (after the two mutually agreed to getting a divorce) in order to conclude the divorce process in a smooth and swift manner.

A source from Song Joong Ki’s side stated, “[Song Joong’s decision] was intended to warn Song Hye Kyo that he can reveal everything if she spreads lies about their marriage or the reason for their divorce.”

Channel A also revealed that Song Joong Ki is considering completing the divorce process in a speedy manner without asking Song Hye Kyo for alimony.

The Seoul Family Court is expected to begin the divorce mediation procedure for Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo in about a month, and the divorce process is expected to be completed in August, given that there are no disagreements from the couple.
