"Arthdal Chronicles" Ratings Remain Steady Amidst News Of Song Joong Ki's Divorce

Viewership ratings for tvN’s “Arthdal Chronicles” appear unaffected by the recent news of leading actor Song Joong Ki’s divorce.

Following the star’s announcement on June 27 that he had filed for a divorce from his wife Song Hye Kyo, industry watchers waited to see if there would be any significant changes in the viewership for his drama “Arthdal Chronicles.”

However, ratings for the drama’s latest episode on June 29 remained stable. According to Nielsen Korea, the broadcast scored an average viewership rating of 5.8 percent—the exact same rating achieved by the June 22 episode last week. (The June 23 episode scored a slightly higher rating of 6.5 percent.)

Meanwhile, tvN stated earlier this week that the news of star Song Joong Ki’s divorce would not affect the drama’s broadcast schedule in any way.

The next episode of “Arthdal Chronicles” will air on June 30 at 9 p.m. KST.
