BTS's Label Big Hit Entertainment To Move To New, Expanded HQ
BTS’s label Big Hit Entertainment will be moving to a new, larger building next year.
Construction on the building, currently called Yongsan Trade Center, is set to finish at the end of this year. It’s located in Yongsan District in Seoul, and Big Hit is slated to make the move in May 2020. According to reports, the entire building from the seven basement levels to the 19 upper floors will be leased by Big Hit and affiliated companies.
Sources from Big Hit revealed that the move is in order to accommodate a sharp increase in the number of employees as well as an increased need for various internal facilities. The larger, more fleshed-out space will become the new home base from which Big Hit expands its global operations.
The new building will include a variety of spaces for affiliate labels and companies, and there will be also be a special space for fans, as well.
A Big Hit source said, “We are moving to the new building in order to better create the best content and to expand global operations. We recently signed the lease and will be starting to prepare for the move.”
