Police To Continue Investigating Shinhwa's Minwoo's Sexual Harassment Case + Jun Jin Asks Fans To Believe In Him
Police investigation on the allegations of Shinhwa member Minwoo’s sexual harassment will continue.
Previously, a news report claimed that Minwoo had allegedly sexually harassed two women at a bar in Gangnam, but his agency Liveworks Company clarified that sexual harassment had not taken place and that it was something that happened out of a misunderstanding. They also stated that the alleged victims would be withdrawing their official complaints.
On July 3, Seoul Gangnam Police Station stated to OSEN, “It is true that the official complaints about Minwoo’s sexual harassment were withdrawn. However, based on the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes, we will continue investigating the case. All details including the date of questioning are undecided, and we are currently working out the schedule.”
Meanwhile, Jun Jin has spoken up about the allegations of sexual harassment surrounding his fellow Shinhwa member Minwoo.
On July 3, Jun Jin held a V Live broadcast on his way to a location in Gapyeong County to film a variety show. He spoke about various topics including Minwoo.
He shared, “I have something to say. There are all sorts of articles about Minwoo, but I hope you will trust him until the end. Many things can happen when celebrities attend various gatherings. I hope you will believe in him until the end, and please support him and pray for him.” He added, “I’m sure all of you trust us, and I hope you won’t be too upset. I think that as long as you believe in him, the misunderstanding will be cleared up.”
