Lee Dong Gun In Talks To Star In Korean Remake Of U.S. Series "Leverage"
Lee Dong Gun may be starring in an upcoming remake of TNT’s “Leverage”!
On July 5, Lee Dong Gun’s agency FNC Entertainment confirmed that the actor was in talks for the leading role of TV Chosun’s new remake of the American drama series.
A representative of the agency stated, “Lee Dong Gun has received a casting offer for the Korean version of the drama ‘Leverage,’ and he is currently reviewing the offer with a favorable outlook.”
“Leverage,” which ran from 2008 to 2012 in the United States, followed a former insurance investigator who led a team of thieves and con artists in pulling elaborate scams on the wealthy and corrupt.
Lee Dong Gun has been offered the starring role of the former insurance investigator (played by Timothy Hutton in the original series). The upcoming remake will reportedly be helmed by Nam Ki Hoon, the director behind OCN’s “Voice 3.”
The Korean version of “Leverage” is currently scheduled to air sometime in September.
