Main Vocalist Of Popular Boy Group Blows Everyone Away On "The King Of Mask Singer"

On the latest episode of MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of contestant Manager Kim was revealed!

During the July 7 episode, Manager Kim faced off against a number of vocalists. The first contestant Cupcake sang Lee Eun Mi’s “Some Yearning,” while Manager Kim impressed the audience with his three high-pitched notes and rendition of Crush’s “Beautiful.” Kim Gura and Kim Hyun Chul praised Manager Kim by telling him that he had a fighting chance for the position of king.

Eventually, Manager Kim was able to beat his competitor and challenge Paper Airplane in the next round. The former sang Nell’s “Time Walking on Memories” and was complimented by the panelists for his tender vocals. Paper Airplane performed Vibe’s “Come Back to Me,” but Manager Kim took the win with 74 votes to Paper Airplane’s 25.

However, reigning champion Nightingale managed to hold her ground in the final round, leaving Manager Kim to reveal his identity. He turned out to be none other than NCT’s Doyoung!

After his reveal, Doyoung shared that he had wanted to appear on the program after seeing f(x)’s Luna performing on the show. He also commented, “I feel a sense of pride as an idol vocalist. I think I was able to take the first steps in achieving my goals by making it all the way here while being an idol vocalist.”

The NCT member later took to Twitter to share more of his thoughts. He wrote, “This was an experience that reminded me that singing is my No. 1. Thank you to [NCTzens] who gave me strength since I started preparing [for the show]. I’ll continue to live a life in which singing is my No. 1 and sing many, many songs that [NCTzens] enjoy. Until the day that Manager Kim gets promoted to President Kim!!! Fighting!!! @.@ P.S Let’s just say that it was Manager Kim, not Doyoung, who did that sexy dance.”
