Update: Police Request Pretrial Detention Warrant For Kang Ji Hwan On Sexual Assault Allegations
Updated July 11 KST:
The Gwangju Police Station of Gyeonggi Province revealed on July 11 that a pretrial detention warrant for Kang Ji Hwan has been requested to the prosecution.
A pretrial detention warrant allows for a suspect to be detained for longer than 48 hours. It is granted if the court rules that there is potential for a suspect to flee or destroy evidence.
The prosecution will now decide whether or not to file the pretrial detention warrant, and the court will make a judgment on the validity of the warrant.
