Late Actress Han Ji Seong's Husband Booked For Aiding And Abetting DUI Leading To Her Passing

Late actress Han Ji Seong’s husband “A” was booked by the police for aiding and abetting Han Ji Seong’s drunk driving.

On July 10, the Gimpo Police Station booked “A” without detention and called him in for questioning. He is under suspicion of aiding and abetting his wife Han Ji Seong’s drunk driving, which led to her passing.

Han Ji Seong was driving on a three-lane expressway on May 6 at 3:50 a.m. when her husband in the passenger’s seat urgently needed a bathroom break. She stopped her car in the middle lane, got out of the car, and moved to the rear side of the vehicle. She was then hit by a taxi and an SUV, leading to her death.

Her husband, who left the car to relieve himself at a flower bed on the side of the road, testified that he did not know why Han Ji Seong had also gotten out of the car. He also stated that they were at a gathering with acquaintances prior to the accident, and although he had been drinking, he did not see whether or not his wife was also drinking alcohol.

However, autopsy results on June 21 revealed that Han Ji Seong had been drunk driving with a blood alcohol content high enough to result in a canceled driver’s license.
