BTS Tops Gaon Monthly Album Chart With BTS WORLD OST

BTS has claimed No. 1 on Gaon’s monthly album chart with the soundtrack for their mobile game BTS WORLD!

On July 11, Gaon Chart announced that the BTS WORLD OST had topped its album chart for the month of June—an especially impressive feat considering that the soundtrack was released at the very end of the month, on June 28 at 6 p.m. KST. According to Gaon Chart data, BTS managed to sell 498,455 physical copies of the album in June alone.

The BTS WORLD OST previously debuted at No. 1 on Gaon’s weekly album chart last week, and it also made its Billboard 200 debut at No. 72 earlier this week, making BTS the first Korean artist in history to have three albums simultaneously charting on the Billboard 200.

BTS also took No. 5 on Gaon’s latest monthly album chart with their latest mini album “Map of the Soul: Persona,” which previously became the first album in Gaon history to receive a triple-million certification.
