IU Perfectly Captures All Of Her Character's Charms In "Hotel Del Luna"

IU is looking stunning in the latest stills for tvN’s “Hotel del Luna”!

“Hotel del Luna” is about a hotel for ghosts that is run by owner Jang Man Wol (played by IU) and elite hotelier Goo Chan Sung (played by Yeo Jin Goo).

On July 12, the upcoming drama gave viewers another look at IU’s transformation into the hot-headed hotel owner Jang Man Wol.

At the press conference for the drama, producing director Oh Choong Hwan said, “Jang Man Wol had to be portrayed by Lee Ji Eun (IU).” He said this because the actress playing this lead would have to show various images of the character including her ill temper and sadness.

IU also said at the time, “Jang Man Wol is charming because she’s a character who can be interpreted in various ways. Instead of amplifying or hiding certain parts, I’ll show you everything without making any adjustments. I hope you’ll see it as an assorted gift set.”

In the stills, viewers are able to see the various charms of Jang Man Wol through her fancy style, intimidating smile, curious looks, ill temper, and bitterness.

A source from the drama said, “She’s not an easy character because she’s someone who has existed for a long time and someone who has changed throughout those years. However, actress Lee Ji Eun’s charms and her passion for the project has completed Jang Man Wol. The images released today can be seen in the first two episodes. Of course, this isn’t all of it. ‘Hotel Del Luna’ will finally start operations tomorrow at 9 p.m. We’re looking forward to seeing Lee Ji Eun creating her life’s best character once again for the drama’s fans.”
