Watch: 'Produce X 101' Contestants Impress PENTAGON's Hui With Their Skills In Finale Preview

Mnet’s “Produce X 101” is coming to an end!

On July 12, the idol survival show released a preview for its final episode, showing the remaining 20 contestants recording their final evaluation songs in the studio.

The first song, “To My World,” was written by Sean Alexander and Drew Ryan Scott, whose other songs include Girls’ Generation’s “Lion Heart,” TWICE’s “Heart Shaker,” MONSTA X’s “Dramarama,” and the “Produce X 101” concept evaluation track “U GOT IT.”

The second song “Boyish Charm” (literal translation) was written by Flow Blow and PENTAGON’s Hui, the masterminds behind the “Produce 101 Season 2” concept evaluation song “Never,” Wanna One’s debut track “Energetic,” and the “Produce 48” theme song “Pick Me (Naekkyeoya).”

As they listened to each contestant, the songwriters expressed their amazement at the trainees’ skills and praised them. However, Flow Blow’s Zyro commented that TOP Media’s Lee Jin Hyuk seemed to be lacking in confidence, and the contestant apologized, saying he was having trouble focusing.

The preview then gave a sneak peek of the trainees’ final performances, with each contestant taking turns dancing in the center. The team for “Boyish Charm” rehearsed their performance with Lee Jin Hyuk, Son Dong Pyo, Tony, Goo Jung Mo, Nam Do Hyun, Kim Woo Seok, Ham Won Jin, and Kang Min Hee trying out for the center position; while Han Seung Woo, Lee Se Jin, Hwang Yun Seong, Keum Dong Hyun, Lee Eun Sang, Kim Yo Han, Kim Min Gyu, Cho Seung Youn, and Song Hyeong Jun tried out for the center of “To My World.”

The final 11 members of the debut project group will be announced on the live finale of “Produce X 101” on July 19 at 8 p.m. KST. Check out the clip of the final evaluation songs and the preview below!
