ONE Reveals He Left YG Entertainment
ONE has parted ways with YG Entertainment.
On July 17, he held interviews ahead of the premiere for his upcoming film “Goodbye Summer.”
During the interview, he revealed, “With ‘Her Private Life’ as the last [project], I parted ways with YG Entertainment. I joined YG Entertainment when I was recruited after appearing on Mnet’s ‘Show Me the Money 4.'”
He explained his initial decision for joining YG Entertainment. “I wanted to focus on my music. I thought I could share my music with more people as making music alone at home is difficult [to release].”
ONE revealed that he is planning on establishing a one-man agency and is preparing a new album. “I plan on focusing on my music activities this year. However, I am currently promoting alone as my contract with YG Entertainment has expired. I will be working alone while focusing on music for the time being.”
He continued, “I cannot give a clear answer on when the music will be released. I am working to release it as quickly as possible within this year.”
ONE’s upcoming film “Goodbye Summer,” also starring Kim Bo Ra, is set to premiere on July 25.
