Actor Jin Seon Kyu Revealed To Have Undergone Surgery For Herniated Disc

On July 18, a source from the film industry revealed that actor Jin Seon Kyu had undergone emergency surgery yesterday.

The source reported, “[Jin Seon Kyu] had a herniated lumbar disc that suddenly grew worse. On July 17, he underwent emergency surgery and is currently hospitalized. He’s had a chronic disc problem for a while, but because of his recent busy schedule, it suddenly grew worse. He needs to be hospitalized for at least a week after the surgery.”

In light of the actor’s health issues, the press conference for his upcoming film, “Dark Change” (literal title), was canceled. The surgery and hospitalization also slightly affected filming for the movie “Lightning Ship,” which also stars Song Joong Ki and Kim Tae Ri.

A source from “Dark Change” stated, “Instead of a press conference, we will adjust the schedule so that another event for the media can take place earlier.” “Dark Change” is scheduled for release on August 15 and stars Jin Seon Kyu and Seo Ye Ji.

A source from “Lightning Ship” stated, “We will monitor the results of [Jin Seon Kyu’s] surgery and adjust the schedule accordingly.”

Jin Seon Kyu recently starred in the hit film “Extreme Job,” as well as “Svaha: The Sixth Finger,” “Money,” “Romang,” and “Long Live the King,” all released in 2019.
