Kim Dong Hee In Talks To Join Park Seo Joon's Upcoming Drama
On July 23, News1 reported that actor Kim Dong Hee had been cast as Jang Geun Soo in JTBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Itaewon Class” (literal translation).
“Itaewon Class” is based on a popular Daum webtoon of the same name and tells the story of a group of stubborn, brave young people who rise up in an unfair world and open up a food business in the Itaewon neighborhood in Seoul.
Park Seo Joon, Kim Da Mi, and Yoo Jae Myung have already been confirmed to star.
Jang Geun Soo, the role in which Kim Dong Hee had reportedly been cast, is the illegitimate son of the CEO Jang Dae Hee (played by Yoo Jae Myung). He has a one-sided crush on Jo Yi Seo (played by Kim Da Mi) and is the antagonist to Park Sae Roy (played by Park Seo Joon).
Kim Dong Hee made his debut in the hit web drama series “A-TEEN” and also appeared in the second season. He became more publicly known when he appeared in JTBC’s highly-rated drama “SKY Castle” and recently also appeared in the Netflix original drama “Human Class.”
Kim Dong Hee’s agency, JYP Entertainment, stated, “He is positively reviewing his casting offer from ‘Itaewon Class.'”
