Kim Bo Ra In Talks To Star In Korean Remake Of "Jane The Virgin"
Kim Bo Ra may be starring in the Korean remake of “Jane the Virgin”!
On July 25, Kim Bo Ra’s agency revealed, “It is true that Kim Bo Ra has received an offer to star in ‘Jane the Virgin’ and is currently reviewing it. Her appearance [on the show] has yet to be confirmed.”
“Jane the Virgin” is a remake of the American comedy TV series with the same name, which is currently on its fifth season. It tells the story of 23-year-old virgin Jane, who becomes pregnant after she is accidentally inseminated artificially by her gynecologist.
Previously, news outlet Ilgan Sports reported that Kim Bo Ra will be appearing in Channel A’s “Jane the Virgin” as its lead character Lee Soo Jung, a woman who just graduated from university with a Korean language education degree. Her mother became pregnant with her when she was just 18 years old, so Lee Soo Jung was brought up by her grandmother due to this “betrayal.” Because of all of these events, her grandmother insisted on giving her an early education on abstinence.
If she accepts the role, Kim Bo Ra will be taking on her first lead role in a drama. It was previously revealed that JYJ’s Jaejoong is in talks for the drama as well.
“Jane the Virgin” is set to premiere in December.
