Jo Bo Ah And Jun Hyun Moo To Host Seoul Drama Awards 2019, Kim Nam Gil, Jang Nara, And More To Attend
The Seoul Drama Awards 2019 has selected its hosts and announced its nominations!
On July 25, a press conference was held to introduce the nominated dramas and actors. During the event, it was announced that Jun Hyun Moo and Jo Bo Ah will be the MCs for the upcoming awards show. Jun Hyun Moo will be returning to the MC position for another year, having hosted the show last year with Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung.
The Seoul Drama Awards 2019 then introduced the 28 dramas and 28 individuals who have been nominated this year from a selection of 270 dramas from 61 different countries. Eight dramas have been nominated for each category of best short series, long series, and miniseries, and four nominees are up for the best comedy. Seven people have been nominated for each category for best director, screenwriter, actor, and actress.
For Korean dramas MBC’s “Special Labor Inspector Mr. Jo” and KBS’s “to. Jenny” were listed as nominees. Kim Dong Wook, the star who led “Special Labor Inspector Mr. Jo,” has been nominated for best actor, while Shin Hye Sun, who stunned in SBS’s “Death Song,” has been nominated for best actress. Another notable nomination is “The Golden Eyes,” a Chinese drama that follows the main character who has superpowers as he goes through love, hatred, and betrayal, and the series stars EXO’s Lay.
The awards show will invite actors from around the world, and Korean actors Kim Nam Gil, Jang Nara, and Kim Dong Wook will be among them.
The Seoul Drama Awards 2019 will be held on August 28 at 6 p.m. KST. The awards show will be streamed live on SBS Mobile 24’s YouTube channel, and will then air on SBS on August 29.
