"Show Me The Money 8" Producer Assures Fairness Following Mnet's Voting Controversy
The chief producer for Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 8” has assured viewers that the show will be impartial.
On July 26, “Show Me the Money 8” held their press conference in which the producers addressed the topic of the program’s fairness. In the past, Mnet has been criticized for a lack of impartiality on various survival programs, and they recently denied rumors of voting manipulation in the live finale of “Produce X 101” with an official statement.
During the press conference, chief producer Choi Hyo Jin explained, “Many people may be concerned, but we always have and are currently running the program fairly, and [we] will continue to do so if we have future seasons. We plan on doing our best carefully and fairly.”
“Show Me the Money,” which aired its first season back in 2012, picks a winner through fierce competition and rap battles with help from top producers. In the upcoming eighth season, the producers will be divided into two crews. 40 Crew consists of Swings, Mad Clown, Kid Milli, and BOYCOLD while BGM-v Crew is made up of Verbal Jint, Giriboy, BewhY, and milliC.
The new season premieres on July 26 at 11 p.m. KST.
