"Doctor John" Sees Significant Jump In Ratings For Latest Episode

SBS’s “Doctor John,” which has just folded into week two, has seen a significant jump in ratings from last week.

The drama, starring Ji Sung and Lee Se Young, follows anesthesiologists and pain management doctors who seek to pinpoint sources of pain in patients.

Last week’s premiere episodes recorded 6.0 and 8.7 percent viewership, and after a jump in ratings for day two, this week’s ratings are even higher.

According to Nielsen Korea, the episode of “Doctor John” aired on July 26 recorded 8.0 and 13.0 percent viewership in the Seoul metropolitan area (7.7 and 12.3 percent nationwide), hitting a peak of 14.7 percent towards the end of the broadcast, its highest yet.

“Doctor John” airs Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m. KST.
