Ji Sung Reaches Out A Helping Hand To Lee Se Young In "Doctor John"
SBS’s “Doctor John” has shared some teasers for its upcoming episode.
“Doctor John” is a medical drama about anesthesiologists and pain management doctors who search for the unknown causes of pain in their chronically ill patients.
Ji Sung stars as Cha Yo Han, a skilled anesthesiologist known as the “10-second doctor.” Lee Se Young plays anesthesiology resident Kang Si Young, who is also the eldest daughter of Hanse Hospital’s chairman.
In previous episodes, the two met in prison, where Cha Yo Han was serving his sentence. In the new stills, the two meet again in the hospital, both wearing the white doctor’s gown. Kang Si Young is crying on the staircase, but Ji Sung arrives to comfort her with a smile and an outstretched hand.
The scene in question was filmed in Seoul in June. Since Lee Se Young needed to emotionally carry the scene, she went off by herself on set to get into the right frame of mind. Ji Sung helped her analyze the scene by standing near her with the script and giving her earphones so she could listen to music and get absorbed in her character’s feelings.
The production staff stated, “Everyone on set was moved by Lee Se Young’s dedication to acting, as well as Ji Sung’s faithful support. The two of them trust each other and that shows in their acting. Please look forward to seeing how these characters’ relationship progresses in the upcoming episode.”
The episode in question airs on July 27 at 10 p.m. KST. Check out the latest episode with English subtitles below!
