Jang Ki Yong Excitedly Talks About Making Big Screen Debut Through "Bad Guys: The Movie"
On July 29, the press conference for “Bad Guys: The Movie” took place at CGV Apgujeong in the Gangnam District.
Jang Ki Yong shared his thoughts on making his big screen debut, saying, “It’s my first movie. I’m feeling nervous, but in a good way. I was originally a fan of the drama. When I heard the news that it was getting remade into a movie, all I thought was that I wanted to appear in it. After hearing that sunbaes Kim Sang Joong and Ma Dong Seok would be starring in it, I wanted appear in it unconditionally.”
Comparing his strong character in the movie to his smooth character in his latest drama “Search: WWW,” he said, “I’m more similar to [my role] in ‘Search:WWW’ in real life.”
“Bad Guys: The Movie” is a spin-off of OCN’s drama “Bad Guys” and stars the original cast Ma Dong Seok, Kim Sang Joong, and Kang Ye Won as well as new members Jang Ki Yong and Kim Ah Joong. The original drama first aired in 2014, followed by a second season in 2017. The film will tell the story of the drama’s special criminal investigation division returning to solve the case of an unprecedented event in which terrible criminals escape from a prison convoy.
“Bad Guys: The Movie” premieres in theaters around Korea in September.
