BTS Takes No. 1 On Billboard's Hot Tours Recap After $20 Million Earned From Japan Concerts
BTS has taken No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Tours recap for August 3 after four Japanese concerts in July!
According to Billboard Boxscore, the group grossed a total of $20.3 million with the shows, and 208,707 tickets were sold.
Billboard states that BTS’s “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” stadium tour has grossed $99.3 million since it began on May 4 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles. With eight American shows in May, their tour became the top-grossing tour of the month, and they went on to perform in London and Paris in June. This was followed by shows in Osaka on July 6 and 7 and Shizuoka on July 13 and 14. On Billboard’s latest Current Boxscore chart, their Shizuoka concerts take No. 2 and Osaka shows take No. 3.
Each of the eight engagements that BTS has performed on their first stadium tour have earned spots in the top 10 of Billboard’s Boxscore chart. Billboard states that their tour has averaged a gross of $6.2 million and 50,945 tickets sold per show.
As BTS still has four more concerts to go on this tour, it appears that their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour is headed towards achieving a nine-figure gross.
