Watch: Song Seung Heon, Lee Sun Bin, Im Joo Hwan, And More Get Pumped For "The Great Show" During Script Reading
tvN’s upcoming drama “The Great Show” has provided a first look at the stars and their characters in a behind-the-scenes video of the script reading!
“The Great Show” tells the story of a former member of the National Assembly named Wi Dae Han, as he tries to get himself back in the Assembly while living with a family of four problematic siblings.
The newly released clip focuses on the four main leads, played by Song Seung Heon, Lee Sun Bin, Im Joo Hwan, and Noh Jung Ui.
Song Seung Heon passionately acted out his role as Wi Dae Han, a former member of the National Assembly who currently works as a designated driver. When he wasn’t reading his lines, however, he had his attention fixed to his child actor co-stars, who play the two youngest siblings of the four that unexpectedly come into his life. He complimented their cuteness and even pulled out his phone to record them during the script reading.
Lee Sun Bin easily slipped into character as Jung Soo Hyun, Wi Dae Han’s junior during university and the main writer of a TV program. She stated that she resembles her character in real life, saying, “When I was preparing for the drama, rather than thinking that I had to practice using her tone, I found that her personality and way of speaking is quite similar to mine.”
Im Joo Hwan, who plays conservative lawyer Kang Jun Ho, further showed off his unique chemistry with Lee Sun Bin. He earned awed reactions from the room with his blunt expression of romantic interest in Lee Sun Bin’s character.
On the other hand, Noh Jung Ui brought bright, fresh energy to the script reading. The young actress plays Han Da Jung, the eldest of the four siblings who holds her family together. She said about her role, “I’ve always played the youngest character, but now I’m playing an older sister role. It feels a bit like I’ve been strapped with really accident-prone kids, but I’m happy because I’ve fulfilled my dream of having siblings.”
