Jo Jung Suk, YoonA, And More Express Gratitude As Film 'E.X.I.T' Surpasses 3 Million Moviegoers

The film “E.X.I.T” has reached another meaningful milestone.

According to the Korean Film Council’s statistics released on August 5, “E.X.I.T” was able to surpass three million moviegoers on its sixth day since opening. This is on par with the 2015 hit film “Veteran,” which ended up attracting over 13.4 million moviegoers during its time in theaters.

Director Lee Sang Geun and lead actors Jo Jung Suk, Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, Kim Ji Young, and Kang Ki Young took to social media to thank moviegoers for their support. Parodying the line “I love you 3000” from “Avengers: End Game,” the director and cast members hold panels that read, “I love you more than three million” with bright smiles on their faces.

“E.X.I.T” has been delighting moviegoers as a disaster movie that brings both action and comedy to the screen. The movie is said to be a refreshing change from most other disaster movies, avoiding clichés that are prevalent in the genre, and is also being praised as a family-friendly film that everyone can enjoy.

The film follows the story of Yong Nam (played by Jo Jung Suk) and college junior Eui Joo (played by YoonA) who use their skills they honed in their college rock climbing club to escape the city when it is suddenly shrouded in a poisonous gas.

Congratulations to “E.X.I.T” on the achievement!
