Yoon Jong Shin Delays Takeuchi Miyu's Song Release Due To Korea-Japan Relations

Yoon Jong Shin has delayed Takeuchi Miyu’s song release.

Previously in March, it was revealed that Takeuchi Miyu officially signed with Mystic Story. On August 5, Yoon Jong Shin uploaded a photo of himself with Takeuchi Miyu, which he has uploaded previously, along with an explanation on the decision to delay her song release.

This is the story of Monthly Yoon Jong Shin’s July release that I hesitated to tell at first.

On January 9, a small Japanese lady found her way to Mystic Story’s company building.

She introduced herself as Takeuchi Miyu and stated that she wanted to become a Mystic Story trainee.

She said that she entered the finals for Mnet’s “Produce 48” and was also a part of AKB48. After hearing many stories of her sincerity and hearing from staff that she worked really hard to study [Korean], I carefully looked over Miyu’s videos.

With her sincere attitude while working hard as a trainee, I felt her love for Korean culture, so I wanted to give Miyu an opportunity.

I also happened to have written a bright and refreshing city pop song two years ago, so I wondered how it would be to have Miyu sing the July release for Monthly Yoon Jong Shin. I started to have Miyu practice that song starting in early spring.

From the song’s meaning to the pronunciation, vocalization, and nuances, Miyu practiced really hard and put in a lot of effort. A very refreshing confession song was completed, and the music video was also completed with an 80s retro vibe.

After setting the July release date, Miyu thanked me by expressing her excitement that her family and the many people around her would be happy [to hear the release]. I was also very satisfied and liked the finished product a lot.

While looking forward to releasing this refreshing song that fits the summer vibe, thoughtless remarks from Japan’s Abe administration and the right-wing began to appear, and the situation quickly got worse, so after much deliberation, Monthly Yoon Jong Shin eventually decided to delay the song’s release with a promise of a future date. With the pressing July release, I added lyrics to a song I have already written and made a song called “A.I.” We hurriedly completed a music video, and we barely managed to release the July song on July 30… It was a very hectic June and July.

Due to those people with wrong and false judgements, thoughts, values, and certain historical views, creators are unexpectedly receiving harm and damage.

I’m leaving this message because it is such a shame since Miyu worked so hard and because it is also a song that I treasured.
