Super Junior's Kyuhyun To Host New Music Romance Variety Show Starring Gummy And More

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun will be hosting XtvN’s upcoming variety show “Fall in Love with Music” (literal title)!

“Fall in Love with Music” is a music romance variety program in which two people who have only been communicating with their voices first see each other’s faces through a duet performance. Couples who succeed in being matched will perform a duet for the title of the best couple.

The new music variety show will be the Korean version of the popular program “Love at First Song,” which was developed by CJ ENM in 2017 and first introduced to the international market in countries like Vietnam and Malaysia. In the United States, “American Idol” producer Simon Lythgo and John Legend are working on developing a U.S. version of the show. The variety show is also in talks to be produced in Australia, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and more.

Currently, Yoon Sang, Sung Si Kyung, Gummy, and Kyuhyun have been confirmed to star in the show. Yoon Sang, Sung Si Kyung, and Gummy will be the “heart makers” who judge the participants’ musical capabilities as well as their chemistry. Meanwhile, Kyuhyun will be hosting the show as the MC.

Producing director (PD) Park Joo Mi shared, “‘Fall in Love with Music’ will be a love story completed through the couples’ duet performances. Since the program combines music and love, [we] cast Yoon Sang, Sung Si Kyung, Gummy, and Kyuhyun to give judgement on the music and liven up the participants’ chemistry. Please look forward to it.”

“Fall in Love with Music” will premiere on September 20 at 7:40 p.m. KST.
