BTS Becomes 1st Foreign Male Artist Certified As Million Seller In Japan For Single

BTS’s Japanese single “Lights/Boy With Luv” has been certified as a million seller by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ)!

On August 9 at midnight KST, the RIAJ announced that BTS achieved this feat with their single and they are the first foreign male artist ever to do so. “Lights/Boy With Luv” is one of only five releases so far in 2019 to reach a million in sales according to the RIAJ.

“Lights/Boy With Luv” is also the bestselling Japanese single by a foreign artist both in terms of first day and first week sales.
