Watch: Kim Heechul, Gummy, Heo Young Ji, And More Are Awed By "V-1" Contestants In New Teaser

tvN’s upcoming vocal survival show “V-1” is raising anticipation with a new teaser showing celebrities reacting to the contestants’ audition tapes.

“V-1” is setting out to find the best girl group vocalists in Korea, and the “V” in the title stands for “Vocalist” and “1” is for “No.1.” The show recently confirmed that Kang Ho Dong will be the MC of the show, and members from currently active girl groups are set to battle it out to be crowned the best vocalist.

Online voting began for the 24 contestant on July 12 to see who will advance to the main competition. The top 12 will be selecting through online votes and scores from a panel of judges.

A new teaser video has been released for the show, asking various celebrities to watch the contestants sing and react to them. Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, Gummy, Heo Young Ji, Lee Soo Ji, Lee Guk Joo, Kim Jo Han, Lee Jin Ho, Lee Sang Joon, Moon Se Yoon, Yang Se Hyung and Hwang Jae Sung watched the contestants and shared great comments like, “She could prepare for a career as a soloist immediately,” “She’s already well-known for her vocals,” and “This tablet PC isn’t big enough to hold her vocal skills.”

Finally, they were asked to choose their favorites of the 24 contestants.

“V-1” is set to air as a Chuseok special, and the top 12 who make it to the main competition will be revealed on September 13.
