BTS' "Spring Day" Achieves Record Of Longest Charting Song On Melon's Weekly Chart
BTS’ “Spring Day” has now spent 130 weeks on the weekly chart of Korea’s largest music site Melon!
The song was released as the title track of their repackaged album “You Never Walk Alone” on February 13, 2017. Beloved by fans and the public alike, the track won the Best Song of the Year award at the 2017 Melon Music Awards.
While even the most popular of tracks usually eventually fall out of the Top 100 chart on Melon, “Spring Day” has now maintained a spot on the weekly chart for 130 weeks, never once leaving the chart. This matches the record for longest charting song set by Sam Smith with “I’m Not The Only One.”
BTS’s fans ARMY are celebrating on Twitter, leading to a hashtag at the top of the worldwide trends!
