C9 Entertainment Issues Statement Regarding Keum Dong Hyun And BY9

C9 Entertainment has released an official statement regarding its trainee Keum Dong Hyun.

On August 13, the agency released the following statement:

Hello. This is C9 Entertainment.

We would like to issue a statement regarding our trainee Keum Dong Hyun.

We have been closely monitoring the progression of “BY9,” a team created by the active participation of fans as “Produce X 101” ended.

During that time, several parties have asked us about Keum Dong Hyun joining BY9. In response, we spoke with Keum Dong Hyun to clarify our position, and he has consistently stated from the start until now that he will join BY9 as long as it remains as nine members. He has no intention of joining any other project group if it is not a nine-member BY9.

Our position on this matter remains the same.

Following the conclusion of the show, Keum Dong Hyun has been doing his best as he receives dance, rap, language, and acting lessons with other trainees in our company.

We express our sincere gratitude to the fans who are always sending loving support to Keum Dong Hyun. In the case that Keum Dong Hyun participates in additional activities prior to his official debut, we ask for your support.

Keum Dong Hyun previously competed in Mnet’s “Produce X 101” survival show but was eliminated in the final round.

BY9 is a fan-imaged group that includes “Produce X 101” trainees Lee Jin Hyuk, Kim Min Kyu, Koo Jung Mo, Hwang Yun Seong, Keum Dong Hyun, Tony, Song Yu Vin, Ham Won Jin, and Lee Se Jin.
