"Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung" Holds On To Top Spot In Extremely Tight Ratings Battle
Nielsen Korea has released the viewership ratings for the dramas and other shows that aired on the night of August 14.
MBC’s “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” held on to the top spot in its time slot with ratings of 4.1 in the first half and 6.2 percent in the second half. These are very similar ratings to the drama’s previous broadcast last Thursday.
However, all of the Wednesday night dramas from the three major public broadcasters (MBC, SBS, and KBS) fell into an extremely tight range of viewership ratings. KBS’s “Justice” recorded ratings of 4.2 in the first half and 4.7 in the second half, while SBS’s “Doctor Detective” recorded ratings of 4.0 percent in the first half and 4.4 percent in the second half.
With the exception of the second half of “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung,” which boosted the drama into the top ranked spot, all of the ratings were within 1 percent of each other.
On the cable side, OCN’s “Mr. Temporary” scored ratings of 3.547 percent and tvN’s “When the Devil Calls Your Name” recorded ratings of 1.907 percent. These are a slight downgrade (less than 1 percent) from last week’s broadcast.
