Watch: Song Seung Heon Hilariously Struggles To Take On 4 Kids To Revive His Political Career In New Teaser For "The Great Show"
tvN has revealed a new sneak peek of its upcoming drama “The Great Show”!
“The Great Show” is a new drama starring Song Seung Heon as Wi Dae Han, a former General Assembly member who hopes to get back into office. In order to appear more relatable to voters, Wi Dae Han decides to take in four troublemaking siblings (played by Noh Jung Ui, Jung Joon Won, Kim Jun, and Park Ye Na).
In the drama’s latest teaser, Wi Dae Han shows off his charisma and passion as a politician, charming the public with his confidence during election season. He also displays his ardor and self-assurance in the National Assembly, bolding tossing a stack of papers at other Assembly members as he says, “As I said, read [this] before talking!”
The clip then moves on to Wi Dae Han’s sudden fall from grace, with reporters crowding around the politician as they ask, “When did you find out that your father had died?” “They say he was living alone in a dormitory—did you know about this?” Headlines describe Wi Dae Han’s neglect of his father, while the video’s caption denounces him as a national icon of immorality.
The caption goes on to ask, “The national icon of immortality… becomes a father?!”
After the four siblings show up on his doorstep, Wi Dae Han visibly struggles to adjust to his new living situation, while his former college classmate Jung Soo Hyun (played by Lee Sun Bin) looks shocked to run into him outside. She dryly says in voice-over, “I knew he’d be like that.”
Wi Dae Han asks someone off-camera, “You don’t like me, do you?” and Jung Soo Hyun nervously remarks, “You really know how to hold a grudge.” The preview then ends with a compilation of some of the mishaps suffered by Wi Dae Han as he takes on his new life as a father of four.
“The Great Show” premieres on August 26 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki.
