Ahn Jae Hyun And Ku Hye Sun's Agency Says They Will Take Legal Action Against False Rumors
On August 19, HB Entertainment released a new statement on Ku Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun’s divorce.
On August 18, Ku Hye Sun took to Instagram to share that Ahn Jae Hyun wanted a divorce. She subsequently shared screenshots of text messages between the couple about the divorce. Later that day, HB Entertainment (who represents both actors) released an official statement about the divorce, which Ku Hye Su refuted on Instagram.
In that response, Ku Hye Sun shared a screenshot of a text message in which she alleged that Ahn Jae Hyun and their agency CEO talked about her behind her back. HB Entertainment also denied the rumors that they had terminated their contract with Ku Hye Sun.
Currently, many people online are speculating about the role that HB Entertainment may have played in the divorce. HB Entertainment’s new statement is in response to those rumors.
Hello, this is HB Entertainment.
Recently, two actors in our agency requested that we mediate discussions between them about a personal matter and we gave them practical advice in order to achieve a peaceful and amicable result.
However, since this was an intensely personal matter and there was a difference in opinion between them, it was not easy to give them advice. The agency did not desire the couple’s separation in any way.
We regretted the decision that the two of them eventually made. Fortunately, however, both of them and the agency agreed that we should avoid causing harm or damage to each other or the other people we work with. We believed that our role as an agency was to support both people bring this issue to a good conclusion and return without problems to their separate lives. Therefore, we were careful about how we responded to them and how we mediated issues of right and wrong. We believe even now that this is only being respectful to them both. However, we can no longer stay silent on the false rumors and speculation.
We recognize that it is easy for false rumors to arise about an issue like this, and the truth is that it is difficult for us as an agency to represent both people’s differing opinions. However, we as an agency released statements about what we judged to be true, and will continue to do so in future.
We will take strong legal action against illegal activities like defamation, which include spreading false rumors online and on social media about the artists or the agency CEO.
Thank you.
