BTS’s “Love Yourself: Answer” is the first Korean album to spend 50 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart!
On August 20, Billboard updated its weekly charts including the Billboard 200, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States.
BTS’s “Love Yourself: Answer” rises to No. 112 this week, now in its 50th week on the chart. “Love Yourself: Answer,” which debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 1, was released on August 24, 2018 and features the title track “IDOL.”
It is BTS’s longest-running album on the Billboard 200 and now the first to reach the milestone of 50 weeks, with “Love Yourself: Her” notching 44 weeks on the chart and “Love Yourself: Tear” 15 weeks.
In addition to “Love Yourself: Answer,” two more of BTS’s albums are also on the Billboard 200 this week. Their mobile game soundtrack “BTS WORLD” comes in at No. 52 (in its third week on the chart) and their most recent mini album “Map of the Soul: Persona” is at No. 118 (in its 18th week).
