Big Hit Entertainment Achieves Revenue Of 200 Billion Won In First Half Of 2019

Big Hit Entertainment’s business is booming!

On August 21, Big Hit Entertainment held a corporate briefing to announce the current state of their business and their plans for the future. Co-CEOs Bang Shi Hyuk and Yoon Seok Jun were in attendance along with beNX’s CEO Seo Woo Seok.

Bang Shi Hyuk revealed,” Big Hit has achieved a total revenue 200.1 billion won (approximately $166 million), which is close to the annual revenue earned in 2018. Operating profits are at 39.1 billion won (approximately $32.4 million), recording a number close to two-thirds of last year’s 64.1 billion won (approximately $53.2 million).”

He added, “Big Hit is trying to innovate the music industry. By creating a change in the way value is added and expanded, the market size will grow and the system will be reformed, thus improving the lives of its members and those who work in the industry.”
