Jung Gun Joo Smiles Brightly For New Drama With SF9’s Rowoon, Kim Hye Yoon, And APRIL’s Naeun

Jung Gun Joo is creating a bright atmosphere in MBC’s “Extraordinary You.”

This upcoming drama is about high school student Eun Dan Oh (played by Kim Hye Yoon) who goes against her predestined fate to succeed at love. It has a unique plot where the students are actually characters in a comic, and is based on a fantasy school romance webtoon called “July Found by Chance” (literal title).

In the drama, Jung Gun Joo appears as Lee Do Hwa, a member of A3 and second in seniority. With his playful, cute personality, Lee Do Hwa gets along with everyone and has a friendly nature. His good looks also invite screams from female students when he’s walking on the street or working out.

In the stills, Jung Gun Joo shows off his bright smile and handsome looks, and syncs completely with his character. Beneath his carefree, bright appearance, however, Lee Do Hwa suffers from depression and hints that he’s a character with a surprising story. He’ll also a part of a love triangle between his best friend and A3 leader Oh Nam Joo (played by Kim Young Dae) and Yeo Joo Da (played by APRIL’s Naeun).

“Extraordinary You” is scheduled to premiere in September as the follow-up to “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.”
