MERBLISS will not be asking Ahn Jae Hyun for compensation of damages.

The cosmetics brand commented through OSEN, “Though there is still some time left until our contract with Ahn Jae Hyun expires, we will not ask him to compensate for the damages. We will only be deleting our content related to Ahn Jae Hyun.”

Wedding-themed cosmetics brand MERBLISS has announced that they will be deleting all of their advertisements featuring Ahn Jae Hyun. Ahn Jae Hyun had been the brand’s endorsement model for two years.

Hello, this is MERBLISS.

[We] are also unable to hide our shock at Ahn Jae Hyun’s divorce controversy and the disclosure happening on social media. Regarding this, we sincerely apologize to our customers who trusted our brand and purchased from us.

As a brand with a wedding concept, MERBLISS pursues love and happiness. When we first signed with Ahn Jae Hyun two years ago, we believed his image as a newlywed romanticist fit the direction our brand was pursuing. After the expiration of our contract, we extended the contract and maintained the relationship for two years.

We believe that the recent issue surrounding Ahn Jae Hyun and Ku Hye Sun’s controversial divorce is very different from what we pursue. Therefore, from this moment on, we will halt all of our advertisements and content with Ahn Jae Hyun, and the advertisements and content that were uploaded previously will be deleted in consecutive order.

We ask our customers for their kind understanding. We will work hard to become an even better MERBLISS.
