“Wednesday Music Playlist” has revealed its first teaser!

Overflowing with retro vibes, the video introduces the variety show’s cast members as “sexy” Jun Hyun Moo, “gentle” John Park, “innocent” Kim Jae Hwan, and “dangerous” Kim Joon Ho with various genres of music playing in the background.

The first episode was filmed last week and featured Yoo Se Yoon as the show’s first guest. PD (producing director) Yoo Ho Jin said, “Music and laughter harmonized together during the recording. [The show] will provide a new kind of fun every week with a different format each time.”

“Wednesday Music Playlist” premieres on October 2 at 11 p.m. KST.

The cast has been confirmed for Yoo Ho Jin’s upcoming variety show!

“Wednesday Music Playlist” is a music variety show starring Jun Hyun Moo, Kim Joon Ho, John Park, and Kim Jae Hwan as the MCs. Along with new guests every week, the show will have discussions, games, outdoor fun, and more to introduce both old and new music.

The production team commented, “We hope that through the program, [viewers] will be able to create new playlists that go beyond music charts and generations.”

To kick off the show, the director Yoo Ho Jin and Kim Jae Hwan will hold a live broadcast on August 30 at 5 p.m. and introduce the program.

“Wednesday Music Playlist” is set to premiere on October 2 at 11 p.m. KST.

Producing director (PD) Yoo Ho Jin is working on a new variety show!

On August 23, SPOTV News reported that PD Yoo Ho Jin is preparing his first production work since transferring to tvN with the goal of recording in September and premiering in October.

A source from tvN explained, “It’s a variety program with the theme of music. It’s not in a survival format.” About its cast reportedly including Jun Hyun Moo, Kim Joon Ho, Kim Jae Hwan, and John Park, the source replied, “No decision has been made. The title of the program is still undecided.”

Yoo Ho Jin first became known to the public as a rookie PD on “2 Days & 1 Night” in 2008. He left the show in 2010 and went on to direct programs including “Qualifications of Men” and “Win Win” (literal title). In 2013, he returned to “2 Days & 1 Night” as the main PD after the departure of PDs Lee Myung Han and Na Young Suk and earned the nickname “Crayfish PD” from Kim Joon Ho.

In November 2016, he transferred to Monster Union, a new content production company created by KBS to produce more Hallyu dramas and variety programs. There, he directed the drama “The Best Hit” and variety show “Where On Earth??“

In January of this year, the PD resigned from Monster Union before joining CJ ENM in March. In April, PD Yoo Ho Jin was spotted supporting the filming of tvN’s “Yoo Quiz on the Block.” The PD greeted viewers and commented on his transfer to tvN, saying, “I’m saying hello to you in a new environment.” After the episode aired, a source from tvN stated, “PD Yoo Ho Jin only supported filming. He will not be joining ‘Yoo Quiz on the Block.’ He’s currently preparing a new program.”

During his days as a PD on “2 Days & 1 Night,” Yoo Ho Jin revealed his dream, saying, “The reason why I became a variety show PD was because I wanted to direct a music show.”
